Galileo Galilei was born on February 15, he was an astronomer and a mathematician who learned a variety of things.
He learned things about the pendulum and used information with it. He learned that the weight of the "bob" did not change the length of the swing, and another thing he discovered was that the length of the string did change the length of the swing. People did not like his stories because he was very sarcastic.
Galileoe proved Aristotle wrong. Aristotle thought that objects of different weights fell at a different speed. Galileo disproved his theory by climbing at the top of "Leaning Tower in Pisa" and dropping two cannon balls of different mass, and they turned out to fall at the same time, but he got fired after that experiment, and his father passed away

The Leaning Tower Of Pisa that Galileo climbed to prove Aristotle wrong.
In 1585 at the age of 21,Galileo moved to Venice and made money by teaching mathematics in Padua since he was good at it and also did experiments in his spare time.
After all these experiments and discoveries Galileo finally met his soulmate, Marina Gamba. They both began their life together and had two daughters and a son. Since they were not married, their children could not get married but Galileo made some adjustments since he was rich. his son was now able to get married, but his daughters were still unable to ever get married. When they turned thirteen Galileo had gave his daughters to the catholic church.
Galileo died on January 8,1642.
Moon Observations:

Aristotle had claimed that the moon was a perfect sphere. Galileo disagreed, he discovered that the moon has mountains and valleys by observing the moon through his telescope, he did not invent the telescope but he was the first one to use it to observe these objects and record his discoveries. . He knew he was right and that the moon was not a perfect sphere like Aristotle had stated. The church did not agree with Galileo, instead they agreed with Aristotle, they wouldn't even dare to take a peek through his telescope to "prove him wrong".
Jupiter and its Moons:

Galileo discovered Jupiter's moons while he was observing the pitch black sky. He noticed spots on Jupiter's surface, at first he did not know what they were, but after observing more and studying them he knew that they were the moons of Jupiter.
He decided to call the moons after his new boss Grand Duke Cosimo II.
When he discovered the 4 moons orbiting Jupiter he attempted to disprove Aristotle. Aristotle stated that all things orbit the Earth, but Galileo proved him wrong, because he had discovered that not all things orbited the Earth.
Saturn's Rings:
Galileo discovered that Saturn had more than one ring. In the year 1610 Galileo saw two rings at the corners of the planet. He thought they were two moons. In the year 1614 he saw that the two moons appeared again after he had seen them disappear. In conclusion he began to observe more and study more about Saturn and he was the first to realize that there was some sort of oval shape around Saturn, and this is called Saturn's ring.

Sunspots on the Sun:
Edited picture of the Sun
Galileo had discovered something new by pointing his telescope towards the sun, he noticed that the sun had spots. When he began learning and observing more about the sun he noticed that the spots moved from time to time.Christopher Scheiner had said once that the spots were tiny planets going around the Sun, Galileo highly disagreed with what Christpher had said because the spots changed their shapes and moved at a specific rate around the sun. This discovery disproved Aristotle's idea because he had said that the Sun was perfect, but he was wrong, because the Sun had spots on it. Although Galileo got blind after this discovery he still got to disconfirm Aristotle's theory.
Venus has Phases:
Galileo discovered that like our moon, Venus had phases. Copernicus thought that Earth was not in the center of the universe and so did Galileo. Galile's discovery supported Copernicus's theory because Copernicus has said that the sun was at the center. If the Sun was at the center, than it was possible for Venus to have phases. Since Galileo saw the phases of Venus, he knew it went orbited the Sun.
